How I Work
Fertility Care
One of my greatest passions in healthcare is assisting folks to expand their families - couples, solo parents, Queer, Trans and Non-Binary birthing parents, co-parents, heterosexual families, families with multiple partners, egg and sperm donors, surrogates… anyone else who is exploring a pregnancy journey!
Ideally, this process begins 6+ months prior to beginning to try to conceive - this gives your body enough time to incorporate new lifestyle habits, correct nutrient deficiencies, support mitochondrial health, and make sure the egg, sperm, and bodies we are caring for have enough time to fully incorporate that support. However, wherever you are in your conception journey I am happy to begin working with you!
I utilize both conventional and functional hormone and nutrient testing, supplements, herbal medicine, acupuncture, moxibustion, and abdominal/uterine massage in my fertility and reproductive support treatment plans - though of course your care will be tailored to your specific needs and goals.
The specific care I offer includes:
Preconception counseling/Fertility preparation support, including hormone assessment, whole body health support for those involved in the fertility process (this includes co-parents who will not be gestating - you will be supporting a pregnant partner and then parenting, so supporting your health matters too!)
Ovulation timing education and support, including comprehensive testing to determine exact ovulation, assistance in understanding your cycle and timing insemination accurately
Ovulation Induction medication prescription and monitoring, if necessary for your specific situation
IVF/IUI/ICI cycle support, including Acupuncture and Uterine/Abdominal massage in preparation for retrievals/transfers
Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) - either in my office or in the comfort of your home! We can do this using fresh sperm samples from a known donor or partner, or using frozen sperm purchased from a sperm bank.
Guidance around home insemination for those using ICI (intracervical insemination)
Holistic pregnancy support throughout all stages of pregnancy - including Acupuncture, Bodywork and Naturopathic Care (please note that I am not a midwife)
Postpartum care for all bodies, including C section recovery support
Fertility & Pregnancy care for folks who are currently on, or with a previous history of, Gender Affirming Hormone replacement
Breast/chestfeeding support - lactation induction and milk supply support (Please note that I am not a lactation consultant and do not offer pediatric care, but am happy to refer out for thorough lip/tongue restriction evaluations, chiropractic and craniosacral care for latch support, as well as to trusted IBCLCs)
Referrals to and co-care with Reproductive Endocrinology providers who are competent in queer and gender affirming conception care, and acting as an advocate for you and guide throughout this process

Naturopathic Medicine
Naturopathic medicine is a distinct system of medicine, rooted in the idea that your body contains the wisdom and natural ability to heal, and treating you as a whole person — mind, body, and lifestyle. As a board-certified and licensed Naturopathic Physician in Oregon, I’ve completed six years of graduate-level medical training, including diagnostics, lab work, natural and pharmaceutical therapies, and clinical care. In practice, this looks like a combination of modern medical science and safe, evidence-based natural approaches tailored to you.
Naturopathic care is guided by six core principles:
First, Do No Harm: We start with the safest, least invasive therapies and always refer to specialty care when indicated.
The Healing Power of Nature: Your body has an innate wisdom to heal itself, and we work with natural therapies and environments to support that process.
Identify and Treat the Causes: Instead of just masking symptoms, we focus on uncovering the root causes of illness and removing obstacles to health.
Doctor as Teacher: We empower you with knowledge so you can understand and take charge of your health.
Treat the Whole Person: Health is more than symptoms — it’s how your body, environment, and lifestyle interact.
Prevention: Our goal is to help you prevent illness and maintain wellness before problems arise.
At Poppyseed Natural Medicine, I use these principles to guide personalized care, whether you’re managing a chronic condition, optimizing fertility, navigating pregnancy, or just looking to feel your best.
East Asian Medicine
In addition to my training as a Naturopathic Physician, I also hold a degree in East Asian Medicine, to provide specialized, hands-on support for chronic illness and fertility.
Acupuncture, herbal medicine, and gentle bodywork all work to optimize blood flow, support hormone balance, reduce inflammation, and calm the nervous system. For chronic illness, these therapies can help address underlying imbalances in the body, support immune function, improve energy, and relieve pain or digestive issues. For fertility, East Asian Medicine can support reproductive health by promoting healthy circulation to the reproductive organs, modulating hormones, supporting the uterine lining, and creating a more nurturing environment for conception and pregnancy.
By combining both naturopathic and East Asian medicine wisdom, I work with you to identify root causes, support your body’s natural healing abilities, and take a whole-person approach to wellness, helping you feel more resilient, balanced, and empowered on your journey to health.
I also recognize that the practices of East Asian medicine come from rich, centuries-old lineages that are not my own. I approach these therapies with humility, respect, and a commitment to honor their traditions. My goal is to integrate these practices thoughtfully and ethically, give credit where credit is due, and acknowledge their cultural origins while providing safe and effective care for my patients.
Integrative Bodywork
I incorporate several forms of hands-on bodywork to support overall wellness, reproductive health, and the nervous system. I use the Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy to support pelvic and abdominal organ health, improve circulation, and encourage balance in the body’s energy systems. I also practice Holistic Pelvic Care, as developed by Tami Kent, which focuses on gentle, trauma-informed pelvic floor therapy to support mobility, function, and comfort. I also weave in craniosacral therapy and myofascial release techniques, trained through Michael McMahon and the Moving Mountain Institute, to release fascial restrictions, improve structural alignment, and support the nervous system. These modalities are combined thoughtfully to provide individualized care that addresses both the physical and energetic aspects of health.
