Fertility, Pregnancy & Postpartum Care for all Families
Holistic, individualized care from preconception to postpartum,
for all genders, families, and bodies.
Hello, I’m Dr. Sarah!
I’m licensed as a Naturopathic Physician and Acupuncturist.
I use she/they pronouns and identify as cis-female, and appreciate and celebrate the full spectrum gender expression. I am white, of Irish and Scottish descent, and come from a middle class background. I identify as queer and have been married to my spouse for 11 years.
My family and I live on the ancestral lands of the Multnomah, Wasco, Cowlitz, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Chinook, Tualatin, Kalapuya and Molalla tribes, otherwise known as Portland, Oregon. I grew up in Oakland, California, and feel at home on the Mendocino coast, under the Bay Area eucalyptus trees and in the granite rocks of the Sierra mountains.
I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Rheumatoid Arthritis when I was 12 years old, which set in motion my passion for disability rights, trans and queer justice, dismantling ableism within the medical profession (and everywhere), and helping those with invisible illnesses and identities be seen and supported. I also love to support queer folks to grow their families.
I have had at least 2 cups of black coffee daily since I was a teenager and have no plans of stopping. My partner and I have two sweet elementary aged kiddos, and I love watching their passions and individuality unfurl. I’m an Enneagram 4, and a Libra sun, Aries rising and Virgo moon - I know just enough about astrology to say that this leads to a real internal battle at times!

Anti-Oppression Statement
As a Queer Reproductive Justice advocate and Healthcare Provider, I choose to challenge the Women’s Health industrial complex that caters to cis, hetero, white women while promoting harmful practices of weight loss, nutrition, spirituality, and cultural appropriation. I also acknowledge that I have participated in upholding all of these harmful practices in the past and will make mistakes as I continue to learn and unlearn within our racist, patriarchal, heteronormative, ableist, capitalist culture and education model. I not only want to expand the umbrella of reproductive health and chronic illness care to serve queer, trans, and gender non-conforming people–especially those who are Black, Brown, and Indigenous, I also want to be a positive influence in reclaiming their right to exist, recovering their dignity and bringing respect and recognition back to their communities. Queer, trans, and non-binary folks have existed well before colonizers invented the concepts of gender and heteronormativity. As a queer, cis-gender, White fertility Naturopath and Acupuncturist, this theme of re-centering marginalized communities in reproductive healthcare is very important to me because I see the way white supremacy and capitalism negatively affect the mental and physical health of my patients and community on a daily basis. I aim to end the cycle of passing this harm to future generations. My mission is to be a part of the restoration of ancient and Indigenous systems of medicine where people of all genders, all sexualities, all abilities, all races, and all socioeconomic backgrounds are seen, valued, and supported in creating the family and life they desire and deserve.
